  • What does the first session look like?

    The first session is the intake assessment in which you will meet with an intake counselor in order to determine your mental health needs. The session time varies from 45-60 minutes. 

  • How much time does counseling take?

    The simple answer, it depends. Session times are 50 minutes, or what is called a "therapeutic hour." The number of sessions you will need varies depending on the severity of your problem. 

  • Do you provide crisis services?

    Unfortunately, ASWC is not set up to accommodate clients In crisis. ASWC provides established relationships with a long-term client. If you are in crisis, please contact your local crisis center first. North Range Behavioral Health provides crisis services and can be reached at 970.347.2120.

  • Do you provide group services?

    At this time, ASWC does not offer any mental health groups. However, groups are an evidence based practice which can offer many benefits. If you are interested in participating in a mental health group, please discuss with your counselor.
